Following yesterdays announcement by the Minister for Finance, Services and Property Victor Dominello and the Minister for Roads Melinda Pavey we can see NSW moving firmly into the digital age.
The ministers agree that with Smartphones taking the place of wallets for so many of us the progress of the digital license is the next logical step. Following a trial of the technology in Dubbo and analysis of those results a large expansion of the trial is now happening in Sydney’s Eastern Beaches district. Parliament has approved the laws surrounding the rollout of the new technology and people in
that area can “opt-in” to the new technology.
The ADTA would encourage both driving instructors and their learners to look to engage in this trial if you are living in postcodes 2022, 2024, 2026, 2031 and 2034. You can log into www.service.nsw.gov.au and use your MyServiceNSW account to become part of the program.
