Want to get straight to a topic that interests you? In today’s newsletter we will be discussing:
1. Keys2Drive: Pricing updates
2. Master Trainer Qualification: On boarding
Wollongong Driving School Health Check Seminar: Details of the workshop
4. Rehab on Road with Beth Cheal: Upcoming Courses
5. TAE Unit Upgrade: Upcoming Courses
The team at Keys2Drive are making a big effort to expand their program into a larger number of regional and remote locations. To that end, they are
offering greater remuneration for those instructors that are happy to service those areas. You may even live near one of these areas and can see a trip there on a regular or even an ad-hoc basis as being a good addition to your business.
Have a look at the attached release from Keys2Drive and see whether you can offer a greater service and improve your bottom line. You can talk to Andrew at Keys2Drive if you want any further information. His contact details are on the memo.
We are on boarding a small number of instructors each week for the next few weeks to check our systems are working and to ensure our entry audit is sufficient. Once we have everything in place we will open the gates much wider for all members.
The program was originally developed by the (then) ADTAQ as a professional development tool for
industry. I was talking to a number of the original developers about the innovation and process behind this great concept. One of the original program designers John MORTON from Mortons Driving School still has incredible passion and hope for, both, the scheme and the industry.
A newsflash will follow in the next few days to all of our Class C instructors as to how they can get involved.
This is a Professional Development Program that aims at maintaining consistency, currency and upskilling. The Staysafe report was very explicit in its concern that there is no professional development path for Instructors. These programs are sometimes administered by
Government, sometimes by Industry bodies. Your association is working hard to ensure we have a program that is relevant, audited and meaningful.
3. Wollongong Driving School Health Check Seminar
For those of you in the Southern Sydney or Wollongong areas (or even further south) we are running a professional development workshop called “Driving School Healthcheck”. This covers a bunch of facets of your business and hopefully gives you some ideas for improvement.
On the day we will also be discussing our Master Driver Trainer workshop and be inviting participants on the day to lodge applications if they’d like to be part.
Some of you will remember we had this workshop scheduled for late last year, but unfortunately, me and my appendix were talking to a number of doctors in a hospital in the USA. I’ll try and keep it together this time.
Details are as followed:
Date: Thursday 7th March 2019 Time: 11am – 2.30pm Catering: Lunch provided Location: Boat Harbour Motel Address: 7-9 Wilson Street Wollongong
