Welcome
To your very own ADTA website for driver trainers across Australia.
Background
Membership surveys conducted over the past 2 years have consistently reported that you (our members) value
- communication
- relevant and timely information about the Industry
- provision of Professional Development resources
- for the Association to lobby on your behalf with government and regulators
The ADTA board approved the resources and asked the team to start work on a new website and membership platform. The vision was to design a site that would contain excellent resources for you our members, as well as a platform from which we could build awareness of the Association in the community. It would also be a place where you can see what issues we are working on, as well as helping us towards our goal of becoming truly paper free.
Our Vision - ADTA
Enabling novice drivers to become safe drivers for life.
The mission of the ADTA
Ensuring that those learning to drive receive the best possible tuition, by improving the methods, skills, resources, and professionalism of Driver Trainers.
What information is on the website?
The website has 5 different folders, each with a different objective.
is a folder for Driver Trainers thinking about joining the Association. It contains information on what the Association does, and the benefits of joining. Importantly, this is where the Code of Practice can be found and downloaded. This is the core of the Association, setting standards for members and the industry.
this is a folder for people learning to drive or thinking about where to start. We want the Association to be the place learners go with questions. We want to give them resources, hint and tips, to share materials. We want the Association to be a trusted partner as they learn to drive, and by extension we want them to find and use an ADTA Driver Trainer. That's why we have a Find an Trainer search function here, so people can find a heavy vehicle trainer, motor bike or car, they can locate someone offering Keys2Drive or an Older Driver Assessment. This resource will help you build your business!
Professional Driver Training is a folder for you. It splits into Heavy and Light Vehicles and is packed with information for you our members, and most of the good stuff is only available after you have logged in. Here you can find issues that the Association is advocating for on your behalf. You will also find a comprehensive suite of Professional Development resources.
This introduces the team, the board, has a copy of the Association constitution, plus everything you need to know about how together we can support young people whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
This is where you'll find the latest research into road safety, and find links to AUSTROADS, ANCAP and the College of Road Safety.
